Dark Night

In the dark I pray
Crying out Your name
I hear them screaming out
Every cry and every shout.
The world’s become so dark
The candle’s burning low
But I know that its light
Will get me through this night…

And I hope in the rising Son
I hope for the new day that will come
And light the world again.

Fearfully I stand
Searching for Your hand.
I cannot feel You near
My God have You abandoned me here?
